Project Description

Gulf Coast Humane Society
Size: 10,000-Square-Feet
Location: Fort Myers

Stevens Construction has completed a new 10,000-square-foot veterinary clinic for Gulf Coast Humane Society, delivering the project on schedule and within budget in just 10 months. Located at 2025 Arcadia St. in Fort Myers, the new facility serves as a critical resource for wellness services, spay/neuter surgeries, dental care and medical treatment for both pet owners and shelter animals requiring care before adoption.

Designed to meet the growing demand for veterinary services, the state-of-the-art medical center features eight exam rooms, dedicated areas for veterinary specialists and surgical procedures, and the latest veterinary technology. The expansion doubles Gulf Coast Humane Society’s capacity to serve pets in need throughout Southwest Florida.

By bringing advanced veterinary care in-house, Gulf Coast Humane Society can now treat pets with complex medical needs without referring them to outside specialists. This approach ensures continuity of care, reduces stress on animals and improves recovery outcomes for shelter pets.

The new clinic also strengthens the organization’s ability to support rescue partners across Florida that may lack access to veterinary resources before placing animals for adoption. Additionally, the facility serves as a training hub for future veterinary professionals, helping develop the next generation of animal welfare and community veterinary care leaders while attracting veterinary talent to the region.

Stevens Construction is honored to partner with Gulf Coast Humane Society on a project that will have a lasting impact on the health and well-being of animals throughout the community.
