FORT MYERS, Fla. (October 1, 2010) – Stevens Construction Inc. earned two awards at the fifth annual Lee Building Industry Association (BIA) Commercial Contractors Council Summit Awards event on Sept. 25.
Stevens Construction won two awards for the Surgery Center of Mount Dora, best healthcare and best design build projects. Located at 3710 Lake Center Drive, the project consisted of an 11,052-square-foot ambulatory surgery center featuring three operating rooms, a minor procedure room, pre- and post-operation beds and associated support services.
The Summit Awards program recognizes BIA members who have obtained an outstanding level of success and demonstrated superior professionalism in the commercial construction industry throughout the year.
A panel of Orlando-area commercial construction professionals judged the projects for originality, quality of design, challenges, timeliness of completion and safety.
Stevens Construction has earned 17 Summit Awards since the program began in 2006, including Contractor of the Year.
